Actually the 30th birthday has kind of blown through the breeze as an afterthought, with the events of the past few weeks and a sweet little boy and beautiful wife to take away the sting of getting to another age mile post.
Here is a rundown of the week's adventures.
- Two parents standing outside the door of a crying baby trying to convince each other that it is good for him to cry himself to sleep, just like the book says.
- Cheering on the belly button plug, the cheering worked and Ivin is now plug-free.
- Speaking of plug-free, this could also be a good phrase to describe the bowels of the boy.
- Who knew that a little, tiny sneeze could be so cute.
- It doesn't matter how clean, recently washed, or expensive an outfit is, it will still get thrown up on.
- The boy has been broken in to sushi - NO dad wouldn't share, but Ivin did enjoy the aura of the new restaurant in Bountiful, Mikado. The sushi was pretty good, it will be better on "Miso Hungry" night where sushi is quite cheap - comparatively speaking of course.
- Locating a one-time-use baby blessing outfit can be a tuff job and take several outings and weeks to locate. In the end, the hand-made blanket from Auntie Kayla made the outfit.
- Blessing your own child is much more difficult than any other blessing you've ever been a part of.
- A birthday trip to REI with the young lad was much more exciting for Daddy, Mommy, Grandpa and Auntie Kayla than for Ivin. He was out cold in the baby carrier after only a few steps into the store.
- The boy doesn't only reserve his spitting up for Mommy and Daddy, Auntie Kayla and Auntie Jennica got their fair share also - maybe others too.
That's a cute pic.
ReplyDeleteI hope the blessing went well. I'm sad we couldn't be there. Well.........if we were invited. I think we would've been invited..........I think.
Anyway try turning 32? That's me in May.
Right in Dru's finals as well. Looks like I'll have to cope with it on my own this year.
I really like that picture. He is so cute. I think I might have to come visit again this week.
ReplyDeleteIvin is so cute- what a cute picture!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is a cutie. Sounds like you are having such fun adventures with the little guy. Luckily I have not had to dodge poop - Dave always gets that thrown at him. It slows down though so there's hope for your future.
