More Water Adventures

This morning I was lucky enough to work from home with Ivin. After breakfast we sent mommy off to work, then went in the backyard to check on the garden quick and to let Ivin run around and play on his bikes. As we mentioned last week, Ivin loves the hose. So, we decided to water the garden a bit and wash out his swimming pool. You can see how well he is doing with the hose in the video above.

I like to think that just after the video was taken Ivin's next steps were done on accident, but judging by the laughter coming from his mouth I'm pretty sure he knew exactly what he was doing. Just after I turned off the camcorder (sorry about the quality, it was from my phone) Ivin turned around with the hose and got enough water on daddy to make me scream a bit out of shock and run away to save myself. Ivin giggled a little about this, then went after me again.

This one-sided water fight continued for about five minutes. Daddy running back and forth across the back yard trying to dodge the stream of water that was in hot pursuit. The story is incomplete without the sounds of laughter and total accomplishment/satisfaction from the 17 month old and the screaming from the 31 year old.

I got a little glimpse further into being a father playing with my boy this morning. I love this game.
